Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立台北師範學院 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 93 === The learning of Political Concepts is an important factor of socialization, and the development of this conception is influenced by acknowledge acquisition. The study aims at understanding the impact of political science program in present 9-Year Integrated Curriculum on students’ political intention and providing suggestions to materials about teaching and learning of politics. To achieve these goals, questionnaire survey was adopted by the researcher’s designed “questionnaire of elementary students’ political knowledge and intention”, which focused on investigating the political knowledge and intention of 5th and 6th elementary graders. The target population﹘2100 elementary students were randomly sampled from 21 school districts in Taipei, and 2016 questionnaires were validly collected. Analyzed by prescriptive statistics, paired-sample T-test, and One-way ANOVA, the data showed the following results: (A)Political Knowledge: a.The overall view of their responses suggested students’ political knowledge was insufficient, and only 62.37% out of 2106 students answered correctly; there is a need to improve their political knowledge. b.As for political symbols, students didn’t have a clear idea of the function and the meaning of the national flag. c.In regard to political values, they didn’t understand what citizens’ obligations are. d.Concerning government organizations, they didn’t know much about the generation of central or local administrators, and the function of the parliament. e.Regarding political process on current events, students didn’t have a clear idea of it. (B)Political Attitude: a.Toward the name of the country, most students confirmed that Republic of China (R.O.C.) represented our nation. b.Toward the territory, they thought our territory as the Taiwan Island. c.Toward the nationality, students considered themselves as Taiwanese. d.Toward the relationship between Taiwan and China, students thought they both were independent countries. According to the results above, the researcher will provide more detailed suggestions of the application of political program in elementary schools and the advanced study.
