In order to promote the development of ecotourism and sustainable development in Green Island, this study investigates the character of the natural environment and cultural heritage systemically. Following the evaluation of relevant studies and evaluation of the status of ecotourism, this study proposes five types of ecotourism, comprising land ecotourism, marine tourism, cultural heritage ecotourism, biodiversity ecotourism, and recreational fishery.
