Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 電機工程學系 === 93 === ABSTRACT In recent years, the high frequency and high power of microwave were applied widely. So many microwave generated can be developed. In many components of generated microwave, we discuss gyrotron which has better efficiency. At higher harmonic, because of the increasing concentration of the mode fields near the wave-guide wall and larger degree of mode competition, the operation efficiency at higher order modes declines significantly. To overcome this difficulty, many methods are developed. One of them is to use cusp-field structure, which makes the e-beams closer to the wave-guide wall. Besides, the structure lowers the axial velocity of the e-beams, and thus the interaction between the higher-order modes and the e-beams may be more complete. Furthermore, a multivane cylindrical wave-guide structure will create periodical fringe fields near the e-beam radius and strengthen the resonance. In this thesis, we discuss the effects of harmonic numbers, energy of e-beam and slot angles on energy conversion efficiency when multivane cylindrical wave-guides are operation in TE and TM modes.
