Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 系統工程暨造船學系 === 93 === The first work in this thesis is to collect the documents in market regarding noise elimination character of the silencer or muffler in both automobile and motorbike. Then we analyze the performance of different parameters, which may effect the silencer or muffler, and emphasizing the theoretical calculation in noise elimination (just like the sound power reduction, insertion loss, transmission loss, noise reduction) usually can be discussed on the silencer performance with experiment analysis in fluid velocity or not. After understanding the theorem in different kind of silencer, the next step is to choose the factor which may effect the silencer possibly, and then set the level of each factor in reasonable in order to use Taguchi Method. This thesis will discuss the elimination performance and the parameter which effect the sound reduction, and use the method of experiment design (Taguchi Method) to carry out the experiment analysis, and the best factor combination with less times experiment will be found.
