Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 教育學系 === 93 === Through Literature review, questionnaire survey and interviews, this study explored the situation, the relationship between teachers’ upward influence strategies and school effectiveness, and the upward influence principles in junior high schools.
The subjects of questionnaire survey are junior high school teachers in Taiwan. Questionnaires of 775 copies were dispatched. The 515 returned questionnaires were valid. This study also interviewed 6 public junior high school teachers.
The conclusions are as follows:
1. The upward influence strategies that the teachers used included rational persuasion, expertise, exchange, coalition, ingratiation, pressure.
2. The effect of rational persuasion strategy is the best, and the pressure strategy is the worst.
3. The relationship between the degree and effect of each strategy is significantly positive.
4. The performances of whole school effectiveness and each indicator belong to be high-intermediate.
5. There is significantly relevance and prediction between upward influence strategies and school effectiveness.
6. “Do the job well” is the principle that the teachers use mostly and its effect is the best. “Use the strategies contingently” is the principle that the teachers use least and its effect is the worse.
7. According to teachers’ background, there is the significant difference in the degree and effect of each strategy.
8. According to teachers’ background, there is the significant difference in each indicator of school effectiveness.
Finally, according to the conclusions, this study offers suggestions for teachers, administrative officials, and the relevant researches in the future.
