Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺中師範學院 === 環境教育研究所 === 94 === Reasons for the intake of dietary supplements are likely to be complex, combining social, psychological, health and economic factors. The purpose of this research was to apply the theory of planned behavior(TPB) to explain undergraduates’ intention to intake dietary supplements and to test the fitness of the TPB. There were a total of 405 valid questionnaires participated and returned. The results showed that 258 undergraduates indicated that they have taken dietary supplements. The most frequently used dietary supplements was calcium tablet. attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control were each significantly positively associated with intention, with PBC having the greatest influence, followed by SN and attitude. Overall the equation accounted for 26.3% of the variance in intentions. Additional variables explained a modest, but significant, amount of additional variance in intentions (increasing to 30.1% of variance explained).
