Taking the [types of image of people and things] and the [elaborating skills of the same types of image of people and things] as two key points to research its whole developing status and evolved trend of all previous years. In order to achieve the above goal, this study adopts [contents analyzing method] — using the analyzing tool revised by the researcher — [category list of types of image of people and things and elaborating skills of fairy tales, original works award of children literature of Taiwan] - to analyze the image of people and things out of the 179 chapters in the works awarded from the above stated eight years. It is hoped to reach the result that both quality and quantity be paid equal attention to. This research comes to conclusions as follows: 1. The researcher groups the 179 chapters of awarded works out of [original works prize of children literature of Taiwan] into three large types of image of people and things. The ratios in order are [personifying image] (70.95%), [image of ordinary people] (24.58%), [superman image] (4.47%). [Personifying image] becomes a trend of origination of modern fairy tales. 2. Under the main category of three large types of image of people and things, it rules the same types of elaborating skills into fifteen kinds as secondary category. Regarding the elaborating skills of the same type of image of people and things, the [ordinary people image] includes four kinds of elaborating skills, in which the ratio of [come through dreamland or hallucination into fairy tales] stands the highest at 31.82% and the lowest ratio of [the world in reality] at 18.18%. It shows special quality of exaggeration and imagination, combining reality with daydream which emphasizes in the fairy tales. The elaborating skill of [world in reality] is used less and less and finally disappeared, because it is close to real life most but lacking for new ideas in the [ordinary people image]. The four elaborating skills have not appeared very often in the respect of [superman image]. The main reason is that the gods and demons in the [superman image] easily confuse modern fairy tales and traditional fairy tales each other. There are seven kinds of elaborating skills in the [personifying image]. The ratio of the [personifying role described by the author] is highest at 49.61%. It leads readers into the fairy world by listening to the lively stories narrated by the author. 3. The researcher divided fairy tales of eight years into four groups by every two years for one unit. The ratio of [world in reality] in the [ordinary people image] decreases gradually, while that of [come through dreamland or hallucination into fairy world] increases gradually. Only the [superman image standing at the equal position with the weak] appears in the higher ratio. In the [personifying image], the [personifying role described through author] appears in the ratio equivalent to the [ordinary people and personification present to supply mutual intentions and mingle with each other] within the previous years. The ratio of [ordinary people and personification present respectively] increases gradually from the third group year. The point shows that the human being world is not only focus in the fairy world. The [ordinary people and personification present to supply mutual intentions and mingle with each other] has broken the barriers among all creatures and mad the fairy world wonderful and touching. The results of this study and suggestions made in it will be submitted to the education unit, teachers, writers of fairy tales and the future researchers for reference.
