In addition to the principle of environmental education, ecological interpretation could help the tourist to know how nature works, and to stimulate the thoughts and to enrich the heart. A narrator thus plays an important role during ecotourism. The present research was based at the ecological educational park in the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) campus, and involved giving NPUST students a questionnaire after they had made an ecotourism trip guided by a narrator. Following completion of the the survey questionnaire the descriptive statistics of t test, one-way ANOVA, Cronbach’s α and the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient techniques were applied to analyse the returned data. In this manner the thesis was able to summarize preferences and could determine the degree of expectation, and omissions, concerning ecotourism in the NPUST wetland. The purpose for initiating the study was to arrive at a sustainable ecological development scenario for the campus wetland, and to be able to use this as reference for similar areas elsewhere. The findings led to the following conclusions: 1. Except for general students with solely manual aptitude, personal background variables did not cause significant differences in the preference for ecological interpretation. 2. Concerning the degree of expectation with an ecological interpretation: (a) Interpretation skills - those from the college of Management are higher than from the college of Agriculture, and those with a Master’s degree are higher than the student with only two years of schooling. (b) Professional knowledge - again those from the college of Management are higher than from the college of Agriculture, as are those from the college of Humanities and Social Science. (c) Expression facility - those with a Master’s degree are again higher than the students with only two years of schooling. 3. There is a positive correlation between preference and degree of expectation. To help achieve the objective of a sustainable campus facility, it is suggested that the interpretation board be made lively and interesting, and that a campus interpretation club be established . The study results also show that thematic ecotours are the best way to encourage activities that a narrator is needed to open the door with all ecotourism and it’s chargeable if interpretation requested. Suggest future research be diversified to include more roles for enhancing infererence. Hung, Rern-Jay 洪仁杰 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 89 zh-TW |

The findings led to the following conclusions:
1. Except for general students with solely manual aptitude, personal background variables did not cause significant differences in the preference for ecological interpretation.
2. Concerning the degree of expectation with an ecological interpretation:
(a) Interpretation skills - those from the college of Management are higher than from the college of Agriculture, and those with a Master’s degree are higher than the student with only two years of schooling.
