Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 93 === This research aims at developing concrete criteria for the school administrative effectiveness in Public Senior High Schools. Through this research, we can not only understand the current situation of school administrative effectiveness in Public Senior High Schools, but compare and analyze whether the teaching staff of different backgrounds will have different feelings toward school administrative effectiveness so as to offer suggestions as the reference of how to run and administer a public senior high school. Questionnaire survey is employed as the primary research method and the survey is based on stratified random sampling, focusing on school administrators and teachers in public senior high schools in Tainan city, Tainan county, Kaohsiung city, Kaohsiung and Pingtung county. A total of 880 questionnaires were distributed and 705 were retrieved, accounting for 80.11% recovery rate. The research tool is the self-created questionnaire on current school administrative effectiveness in public senior high schools, including administration leadership, teaching guidance, administrative process, administrative effectiveness and school atmosphere. The original data are processed through the computer. Mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation are used for statistical analysis. The research has four conclusions: 1.The current situation of overall school administrative effectiveness in public senior high schools is rated "high-intermediate." 2.Male, senior, more experienced teachers, those with a university degree, and deans show better perception of school administrative effectiveness. 3.Comparatively better perception of school effectiveness is shown in metropolitan senior high schools. 4.There is no direct link shown between school scales and school administrative effectiveness. Based on the preceding conclusions, some suggestions are offered as follows: 1.Enhance and convey the experiences of school administrators through the involvement of senior and experienced teachers in the administrative work. 2.Offer workshops or seminars on school administration to promote the teaching staff's understanding on school administrative effectiveness. 3.Encourage female, young teachers with graduate degrees to join school administration. 4.Reflect on the negative influential factors on school administration in order to improve school effectiveness. 5.Offer suggestions for the future research.
