Degree Conferred:Master Name of student: Ming-Fu, Huang Adviser: Jyh-Lung, Tang Ph.D. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the learning effectiveness of “Automobile Practical Training Course” with problem-solving teaching strategy in Vocational High School. This study, based on problem-solving ability theory, tried to develop a practical problem resolve ability course and criteria of practical training overhaul ability for the high vocational school students in the field of Automobile Department. Literature review, penal discussion, and statistics verifying were used as the main methods of developing “the problem resolve ability course of Automobile Department”, “self-assessment of problem resolve ability”, “previous test of professional subject”, “assessment of practical training course problem resolve ability” and “study survey”. Four teaching activity designs and criteria of problem resolve abilities were developed by panel discussion. The reliability of each test is checked by the method of descriptive statistics, document analysis, and two-way ANCOVA. According to the results of the statistic analysis, the following conclusions are incurred: Implementing “practical training course problem resolve ability with teaching strategy” on vocational high school students has a positive effect and influence on problem resolve ability. Implementing “list of study suggestion” on high vocational school students of Automobile Department has a positive effect and influence on problem resolve ability. The result of this study could analyze the problem resolve ability of the students in the field of Automobile Department in high schools, and could be used as reference to further study of assessing the professional problem resolve ability.
