Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 環境工程與科學系 === 93 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the mass concentration of both coarse and fine particles in the atmosphere, the water soluble ions and the metallic species. The atmospheric coarse and fine particulates were collected from the traffic source in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology with the Dichot. The main conclusions were as follows: the mass concentration of PM2.5 , PM2.5-10 and PM10 ranged between 49.5-180, 10.2-33.3 and 59.8-214 μg/m3 , respectively, during the sampling time in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. The average concentration for PM2.5 , PM2.5-10 and PM10 were 102±38.2, 21.3±6.84 and 123±43.9 μg/m3, respectively, The mass concentration of PM2.5 , PM2.5-10 and PM10 ranged 55.6-75.2, 24.3-33.8 and 83.2-100 μg/m3 , respectively, during the sampling time on the top of third floor of Environmental Department building in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. The average concentration were 66.6±7.04, 28.0±3.52 and 94.6±6.95 μg/m3, respectively. The mass concentration of PM2.5 , PM2.5-10 and PM10 ranged 51.7-100, 10.2-32.8 and 62.0-119 μg/m3 , respectively, during the sampling period in the traffic source in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, which mean levels were 78.0, 18.8 and 96.8 μg/m3, respectively. The ratio of PM2.5 / PM10 ranged 0.64-0.89 and the average level was 0.81. This results revealed that the majority of atmosphere for PM10 particle beside the traffic source was fine particulates. The majority of water soluble ions of both coarse and fine particulates was secondary aerosols (SO4-2, NO3-, and NH4+). The concentration of NO3- was the highest. The concentration of NO3- on the atmospheric coarse and fine particles during the sampling period ranged 2.18-11.2 and 0.193-3.47 μg/m3, and the average levels for coarse and fine particles were 7.72 and 1.81 μg/m3 , respectively. SO4-2 on the atmospheric coarse and fine particles ranged 1.04-8.72 and 0.163-2.37 μg/m3, and the average levels were 5.50 and 1.08 μg/m3, respectively. NH4+ on the atmospheric coarse and fine particles ranged 0.495-9.48 and 0.623-1.97 μg/m3, respectively. The major metals (Na, Mg, Al, K, Ca and Fe) on the atmospheric coarse and fine particulates ranged 6325-10,140 and 3,812-5607 ng/m3, and the average levels were 7,588 and 4,442 ng/m3, respectively. The other metals (Cr, Ni, Zn, Sr, Ba and Pb) on the atmospheric coarse and fine particles ranged 874.2-1,180 and 255.9-772.8 ng/m3, and the average levels were 515.2 and 619 ng/m3, respectively .The minor mental (Mn, Cu, Ag and Cd) on the atmospheric coarse and fine particles ranged 31.76-140.1 and 14.77-95.09 ng/m3, and the average levels were 83.23 and 45.04 ng/m3, respectively. NO3-(9.88%) was the highest among the species for the ratio of PM2.5 . The next were the major metals (9.73%) and the ratio of NH4+ and SO4-2 were 7.25% and 7.05%, respectively. The total other water soluble ions (Na+、K+、Mg2+、Ca2+ and C1-) were 10.9%. The major metals (23.6%) were the highest on the ratio of PM2.5-10. Moreover NO3-、 NH4+ and SO4-2 were 9.64%, 6.44% and 5.77%, respectively.
