The designed system consists of a rotor unbalance tester and a milling machine. The unbalance tester is composed of a DC motor with the relevant mechanism for driving and supporting the rotor under test, two inductive sensors for measuring the vibrations, and a PC for monitoring and controlling the system. The PC is programmed using SIMULINK software due to its real-time control ability. The milling machine is composed of a fixture, a cutter driving by an AC motor, an angle positioner, and a mill displacement controlling mechanism. The method for calculating the unbalances of the rotor is based on the influence coefficient method. The unbalances of the rotor are corrected by material removal using a milling machine in which the measured unbalance is transformed into a milling vector for unbalance correction. In this study, a genuine idea that calculates the influence coefficient matrix based on the recursive least square (RLS) method is proposed. With this idea, the determination of parameters in the influence coefficient matrix becomes easier and the system can on-line tune these parameters to deal with the wear of the milling cutter. A series of experiments have been carried out to verify the feasibility of the proposed idea and the reliability of the designed balancing system. 曾 全 佑 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 59 en_US
