There are five purposes in this research. First, to investigate the innovationess and stages of concern in integrating Information Technology (IT) into instruction for elementary school primary information seed teachers in southern Taiwan. Secondly, to analyze the correlation between backgrounds in innovationess and stages of concern in integrating IT into instruction. Thirdly, to analyze the correlation between innovation types and stages of concern in integrating IT into instruction. Fourthly, to explore correlation between schools' informational environment and stages of concern in IT into instruction. Finally, to exam the prediction degree of innovationess, stages of concern in integrating IT into instruction, teacher’s IT capability and schools' information environment on IT support.
In order to achieve the purpose, the questionnaire survey method is involved in this study. The subjects are elementary school primary information seed teachers in Tainan City, Tainan County, Kaohsiung City, Kaohsiung County and Ping-tung County. The researcher used ”The Innovationness Scale”, ”The questionnaire of Stages of Concerns” and ”The IT support Scale” as instruments. There are 295 effective questionnaires and the retrieval percentage is 95.78%. These data were analyzed through Descriptive Statistics, Chi-Square, Spearman Correlation and Discriminant Analysis. The major findings of this research are listed as the following:
1.The innovationess of elementary school primary information seed
teachers in southern Taiwan in the 93th academic year is middle.
2.Stages of concern in integrating IT into instruction for elementary
school primary information seed teachers in southern Taiwan are in
two parts. Mainly, in the information stage; Secondly, in the
consequence stage. The management stage gets the least concern.
3.Innovationess is correlative with gender, age, educational degree,
seniority, schools' position, school scale, training hours of IT,
teachers' IT capability.
4. The stages of concern in integrating IT into instruction is
correlative with gender and school scale.
5.There is correlation between innovation types and stages of
concern in integrating IT into instruction.
6.IT support can be predicted by innovtioness, stages of concern in
integrating IT into instruction, tachers' IT capability and
schools' informational environment.
