There were four purposes of this study: (1) to explore the current situation of the elementary school children's social intelligence. (2) to explore the difference of social intelligence in different children's background. (3) to explore the relationship between the elementary school children's social intelligence and parent-children relationship, peer attachment, and prosocial behavior performance. (4) to explore the prediction of the elementary school children's parent-children relationship, peer attachment, and prosocial behavior performance to children's social intelligence. This study chose survey method and the study objects were 455 elementary school children from Kaohsiung City, Kaohsiung County and Pingtung County. The instruments used in the study included "Children's Social Intelligence Scale", "Parent- Children Relationship Scale'', ''Peer Attachment Scale'', ''Daily Prosocial Behavior Scale '', and ''Basic Information Questionnaire". The major findings of the study were: (1) The development situation of the elementary school children's social intelligence was over average level, and the best social intelligence factor was empathy, the others in degeneracy was social sensitivity and friendliness, respect and social insight, sense of humor, and social concern and tolerance. (2) The performance of the elementary school girls in social intelligence was better than the performance of boys, and the performance of sixth grade children in sense of humor was better than the performance of fourth grade children. (3) When the parent- children relationship was better, the social intelligence was better. Besides, when the children's parent- children relationship was friendly communication, children got the better social intelligence. (4) When the elementary school children had appropriate attachment relationship with their peer, they got the better social intelligence. When the peer attachment relationship was trust, children got the better social intelligence. (5) When the prosocial behavior performance was better, the children got the better social intelligence. The ''cooperation'', ''help others'', and ''care'' aspect in prosocial behavior performance, all had definitely high relationship with social intelligence. (6) The parent-children relationship, peer attachment, and prosocial behavior performance could predict social intelligence effectively, and the multiple correlation (r=0.832) predicted 69.2% variance. Helping others in prosocial behavior performance could most effectively predict social intelligence. Finally, on the basis of the results of the study findings and conclusions, the study will provide suggestions for reference of further study. 羅瑞玉 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 135 zh-TW |
