Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 音樂教育學系碩士班 === 93 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the teaching belief of junior high school teachers in Learning Area of Arts and Humanity. The study explored perspective about the teaching belief of instructional strategy, instructional assessment, and in-service training. This study was also to examine the differences of teachers’ teaching belief on variables regarding expertise background and school-related respectively.
In order to achieve the goal of this study, the data were gathered using a questionnaire, “the study of the teaching belief of junior high school teachers in learning area of arts and humanity in Kaohsiung county”, designed by the investigator specifically for the study. The subjects were junior high school teachers in learning area of arts and humanity who teach in Kaohsiung County. A total of 136 music teachers completed the questionnaires. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to compute the percentage, mean and standard deviation. A single-factor ANOVA and Post Hoc test were performed. Based on the findings of this study, the conclusions were the following:
1. Teachers believe in constructive perspective, but it is differicult to be applied practically.
2. Teachers’ belief of instructional assessment is multiple-oriented, and the teachers advocated to assess the subjects respectively.
3. Teacher’s belief of in-service training reveals the expertise to be needed.
Finally, the recommendations for the educational administration and follow-up study are suggested.
