Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 教育行政研究所 === 93 === This research is aimed to understand the relationship between the appointment form and administrative effectiveness of public kindergarten heads. First, it is the current administrative effectiveness situation of the public kindergarten head for us to understand. Second, the perception difference of kindergarten teachers of various backgrounds on kindergarten heads’ administrative effectiveness is analyzed. Third, kindergarten heads from various kindergarten environments are examined and possible factors that may influence validity are discussed to provide conclusions and suggestions as a reference for the educational administrative authorities and the school administration on improving kindergarten administrative effectiveness and developing kindergarten education policies.
To achieve the purpose of this study, the researcher used the self-adapted questionnaire, “The Appointment Form and Administrative Effectiveness of the Public Kindergarten Head”, as the major research instrument. There were 495 questionnaires distributed to the study population, teachers of 107 public kindergartens in southern Taiwan( Tainan city, Kaohsiung city, Kaohsiung county, and Pingtung). The collected effective questionnaires were 441 (the effective reply rate is 89.3%). Then the data obtained were treated with descriptive statistics methods to examine the difference situation about the appointment form and the administrative effectiveness. If a significant difference is achieved, the Scheffe method will be used to conduct the post-hoc-comparison. The study results obtained are furnished with open questions after the questionnaire to understand factors affecting effectiveness so that statistics results can be verified. The conclusions resulted from this study are as follows.
1.For public kindergartens, the highest administrative effectiveness will be found while the kindergarten head also works as a kindergarten teacher there.
2.Under the form that the kindergarten head serves as a kindergarten teacher also, the principal-appointed kindergarten head is with the highest administrative effectiveness.
3.For the public kindergarten, the lowest administrative effectiveness will be found while the principal is also a kindergarten head.
4.In kindergarten teachers’ opinions, a full-time professional public kindergarten head is the most ideal form.
5.How long the term of the kindergarten head lasts will be found no influence on administrative effectiveness.
6.Senior and elder teachers have made a greater appraisal of kindergarten heads’ administrative effectiveness.
7.Kindergarten heads that have been rated as with good performance are more ideal.
8.In southern Taiwan,Kindergarten heads of Tainan are with better administrative effectiveness.
Finally, the researcher suggests in response to the above conclusions as a reference for public kindergartens, educational administrative authorities, and future researchers.
