Abstract
The study aims to discuss the relation between the cultivation of parents and the happiness learning of junior high school students by two aspects of parents’ cultivation-‘reply’ and ‘request’, and seven aspects of children’s happiness learning-‘extracurricular activity’, ‘club’, ‘assembly’, ‘class’, ‘assignment’, ‘bu-his’ and ‘arts and music learning’.
The research applies the survey and the interview as the methods. The questionnaire includes the “form of father’s cultivation” and the “form of mother’s cultivation” which are developed by Huang Yu-zhen and the “form of happiness learning” self-developed by the researcher. 1477 junior high school students from Taiwan are the subjects. The interview is based on the “semi-structure conversation” with 21 subjects. After the analysis and discussion, the findings are as following.
1. The cultivation of parents
a. The cultivations between father and mother are different.
b. ‘Request’ happens more often than ‘reply’.
c. There’s no significant difference between sexuality.
d. Significant differences happen on the students of the first year of junior high school.
e. Significant differences happen on the birth order of students.
f. Significant differences happen on the schooling of students.
g. Significant differences happen on the characteristics of students.
h. Significant differences happen on the school’s location, downtown or countryside which students go.
i. Significant differences happen on the happiness of students.
j. Significant differences happen on the status of students’ parents.
2. The happiness learning of junior high school students
a. ‘Extracurricular activity’, ‘club’ and ‘class’ are the original effects of happiness learning.
b. Significant differences happen on the sexuality of students.
c. Significant differences happen on the grades of students.
d. Significant differences happen on the birth order of students.
e. Significant differences happen on the schooling.
f. Significant differences happen on students’ characteristics.
g. Significant differences happen on the school’s location, downtown or countryside.
h. There’s no significant difference on the status of students’ parents.
3. The cultivation of parents and the happiness learning of junior high school students are positively related.
4. The happiness learning of junior high school students can be forecasted from the cultivation of parents.
