The scale of restaurant market in Taiwan grows up gradually every year. Because they were unfamiliar with the technology of logistics and have not any exclusive distribution center, they have to deal with the supply of food materials. And the wholesale operators of food materials often become the major supply of the multiple restaurants. It’s uneasy thing to acquire the land resource especially in crowded metropolis. The area of warehouse that saves the food materials must be compressed into the most simplify space for thinking over the square measure of business. The solution is the continued replenish strategy when there were not built the most appropriate stock for food materials. Therefore, the logistics operators and the wholesale operators those play important role in supply even need to harmony with the multiple restaurants. For this reason, the decision of location selection decides the market share of the wholesale operators in the food materials market.
This study adopts the combined the Analysis Hierarchy Process and the Goal Programming modeling approach and compares with the Fuzzy Goal Programming to discuss the facility location decision for the food materials wholesale operators in Taiwan. The results have shown that the ability of facility is more important than the cost for the logistics operators. And the combined model is more satisfied with policymaker’s exception than the fuzzy model. We believe it can provide an evaluation model which reasonable and satisfy with policymaker’s exception that showed the multi-objective mathematical programming through the priority selection of location factors.
