However, decoding of STBC requires channel state information. We apply the least square estimation (LSE) to channel estimation. The channel fading coefficients are estimated by inserting training sequences which are mutually orthogonal in the transmitted signals. Thus we can decode the received signal by using the estimated training symbols. Four types of schemes were defined over a slow, flat, Rayleigh fading channel. The OFDM systems with the combination of the scheme of STBC and LSE are proposed in this thesis.
