The testing skill and measuring equipment for both methods are completely the same. However, there exists a major difference on both methods that is the preexistence of fractures prior to the test in the tested section. Besides, the HF method is tailored for problems that the fracture plane has to be perpendicular to the ground surface but not necessary for the HTPF method. The problem with inclined fractures is still applicable for the HTPF method. All the analytical data of in-situ stresses used in this research are obtained from the tests conducted in France using hydraulic tests. The HTPF method is introduced for the stress analysis of the data. The analysis result from this research is compared with the original one shown in the published papers in order to validate the development of the HTPF method and computer code HTPF2005 in this research. The other sensitivity analysis for the standard deviation of the in-situ measured data and the given initial values for the analytical parameters are also conducted in order to examine the influence of each parameter to the analytical results.
