Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 資訊管理所 === 93 === Most of the studies on the information management was evaluated by Survey Research Methodology. In the present study, we analyze the international top 9 journals in the field of information management, that is MISQ (MIS Quarterly), JMIS (Journal of Management Information Systems), ISR (Information Systems Research), I&M (Information & Management), DSS (Decision Support Systems), CACM (Communications of the ACM), MS (Management Science), IJEC (International Journal of Electronic Commerce), and JKM (Journal of Knowledge Management) using the narrative method of meta-research. According to the criterion of ideal Survey Methodological Attributes (SMA) proposed by Grover et al.,(1993), the level and quality of survey research methodology appeared in these previous mentioned journals were evaluated. At the same time, we try to find out the attributes of an ideal survey research by the following 9 criteria, including 1) use a combination of personal, telephone, and mail data collection; 2) adopt a validated instrument or perform a validity or reliability analysis; 3) report characteristics of respondents; 4) the approach used to randomize or select samples; 5) append the whole or part of the questionnaire; 6) the profile of the sample frame; 7) perform an instrument pretest or pilot test; 8) the response rate; 9) the statistical analysis of data from nonrespondents. On the other hand, to find out the point that investigators pay attention, we furthermore to observe the other characteristics in the content of research, for example, the percentage of survey research, the topic category, response rate, statistical analysis, etc. We believe that we will explore the important role of knowledge management in the circles of science industry by screening the rigor, relative thesis, and construct of knowledge management in the survey research methodology from the top 9 journals.
