Picture books come out to be the simplest and commonest way of story-books for children to access and comprehend, and the topics it contains including all the essential situation and experience materials that children would need during their affective development. The publication of the “Empathy Series” by Heryin Company definitely meets the premise and requirement of the “Humanity Empathy” in life education. The research proposes to understand and analyze “Empathy Series,” whose topics are covered by the total 13 picture books from Heryin Company, then categorize them into several groups based on the contents of life education, and also discuss how each picture book of “Empathy Series” presents the mutuality between human and self, human and nature, human and cosmos, and human and the society, respectively. Finally, the researcher presents some pieces of advice for schools, teachers, parents, publishers, picture book authors and future researchers according to the analysis and investigation in this research. The research findings are listed as follows: 1. All the topics in the 13 picture books of the “Empathy Series” are all fallen into the four contents of life education. 2. The majority part of the “Empathy Series” belongs to human and the society content of life education. 3. The picture books of the “Empathy Series” belong to human and nature content of life education are all word-less picture books. 4. The multiple-topics of the “Empathy Series” critically and symbolically demonstrate the profound four insights of the life education by means of utilizing simple words, realistic writing skills, and sentimental contents.
