Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 美勞教育學系碩士班 === 93 === The purpose of this research is to understand the influence on the children’s creativity toward arts by developing and implementing creative teaching strategy of Picture Books that is suitable for elementary school students. The research had last for six months from October, 2004 to April, 2005 and we took “Green Class” of Sunshine Elementary School in Shin Chu City as this research subject. The research focused on two modules, which are Color’s Principle and Color’s consciousness and denotation. We used six Picture Books including Little Blue and Little Yellow, Elmer, Elmer Again, Hildild’s Night, You Can't Take a Balloon into the Metropolitan Museum and Petit Carton and combined with different creative teaching strategies such as Brain Storming, Group Discussion, Creative Drama, Mindset and 5W2H Thinking, Arts Appreciator, Guidance of Music and Imagery and Re-define and Problem Solving to teach students. Students accomplished three visual arts of Picture Books, Elephant Pictures and Magical Night box – What the color of nights and we also held one exhibition to display their achievements. Based on the statistical data and concluded statements from research team, students, parents, experts, arts teachers of Sunshine School and associated with after and before test of Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, we found the following results. A.Both statistical data and statements approve that Picture Books creative teaching strategy can promote Children’s art creativity behavior. B.Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking also result in Picture Books’ great effect on inspiration of fluency, originality and elaboration. C.Each strategy has its own strength, weakness and results; therefore, we suggest teachers conduct cross strategies depending on teaching objectives and students development features. D.By implementing those strategies, we also found that those students with creative characters would make big progress in the creativity of visual arts. E.Students with abundance pre-knowledge of visual arts indicate better creative behaviors.
