This research also explores how the concept mapping strategy effects of students’ study and their responses and comments. There are four topics in this research: 1. To study the fundamental theory and relative researches of concept mapping strategy and visual culture. 2. To design the course of applying concept mapping strategy to the visual culture course. 3. To evaluate the students’ achievement after applying concept mapping strategy to the visual culture course. 4. To investigate the responses comments of students after applying concept mapping strategy to the visual culture course. The research develops the course by analyzing many relative researches. The sample space is 51 fifth grade students of two different classes in Taipei city. The experience class lasts for five weeks. The pretest-posttest nonequivalent groups design is used in this research. The research analyzes the data via statistic method. There are four key abilities of the students’ achievement: content description, formal analysis, meaning interpretation and value evaluation ability. The research finds as follows: The study achievement of the students: 1. In content description dimension, there is no difference between each group. 2. In formal analysis dimension, the experimental group has better performance than the control group. The experimental group also has more significant improvements than the control group does. 3. In meaning interpretation dimension, the experimental group has better performance than the control group. The experimental group also has more significant improvements than the control group does. 4. In value evaluation ability dimension, the experimental group has better performance than the control group. The experimental group also has more significant improvements than the control group does. The students’ responses and comments: 1. Most students think that the concept mapping strategy is easy to construct. It is also very easy to learn. 2. The receptivity of concept mapping strategy in male and female is no significant difference. 3. Most students think that the concept mapping strategy can help them to analysis advertisements. 4. Most students can accept the concept mapping strategy designed into the art courses. 5. Most students can accept to use the advertisement clips as the topic of the visual culture courses. 呂燕卿 學位論文 ; thesis 169 zh-TW
