Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 進修部美勞教學碩士班 === 93 === This research is aimed to investigate the feasibility of using art-play in the visual-art education in the life curriculum for first and second grade elementary students. In addition, it is expected that using art-play in visual-art education curriculum can enhance the visual observation and aesthetic judgement of the research object. This research uses the action research, taking the first and second grade students as the research object, and the campus and the community around school as the teaching field. As for the approach to construct students’ aesthetic experience, “Five E” constructivist ideas of instruction models are applied: guidance→investigation→creation→appreciation→examination. The data in the research is collected through participant observation, oral presentation, and data documents. In addition, the research also gathers the views from the students, parents and team teachers. From this action research, the following conclusion can be made: (1) The teaching materials used in the art-play visual education curriculum are related to the students’ daily life. The students are keen to learn, using their senses to explore and experience. The teaching materials are practicable. (2) The serial steps (guidance→investigation→creation→appreciation→examination) are conductive to construct students’ aesthetic ideas of art, especial suitable for the first and second grade students. (3) Since the visual art teaching is contained in the life curriculum, the teachers will face the problems such as inadequate material knowledge and school equipment in the process of integrating curriculum and designing teaching activities. However, if the teachers can make good use of the resources and organization of the school and community, the problems can be solved. (4) Applying art-play can enhance students’ senses and sensibility to the daily life environment. It also helps them to construct aesthetic experiences and enhance their aesthetic judgement as well. (5) This research helps the teachers to understand the students’ learning quality. The dialogues between students and teachers are more plentiful and the relationship is more harmonious. The teachers’ ability to integrate the curriculum is elevated. And the teaching methods are more diversified. The drive to the action research is stronger. Thus the professional capability can be promoted.
