Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防管理學院 === 後勤管理研究所 === 93 === This research explores the relationship between personal ethics and leadership styles as well as investigating major categories of ethics and leadership styles in military organization. We adopted questionnaires to collect 154 sample data from various commanding officers of Chinese Army Combined Maintenance Plants and then analyzed those raw data in Chi Square correlation analysis. Results showed that the correlation between personal ethics and leadership styles were statistically significant -- deontological ethics and transformational leadership style were significantly correlated while teleological ethics and transactional leadership style were not significantly correlated. In addition, most subjects’ personal ethics were found to be “higher deontological” and “lower teleological”, leadership styles were found to be “higher transformational” and “higher transactional”. The above findings partially supported those results of empirical studies and provided new issues for further theoretical researches. Implications of the findings for managerial practice are discussed within this thesis.
