Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 林業暨自然資源研究所碩士班 === 93 === The objectives of this study were to examine the effects of mycorrhizal fungi on growth and physiological characteristics of Rhus chinensis var. roxburghii(Roxburgh sumac), Mallotus paniculatus(Turn-in-the wind)and Macaranga tanarius(Macaranga)seedlings. Seedlings were inoculated with two dominant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF), i.e., Acaulospora scrobiculata and Glomus mosseae screened from the rhizosphere of Rhus chinensis var. roxburghii, Mallotus paniculatus, and Macaranga tanarius in landslide at Tsau-Ling, Gu-Keng, Yun-Lin county, and grown in different media. Seven months later, the effects of the AMF on growth of seedlings were measured and analyzed. The results revealed that the net height growth, net root collar diameter growth, biomass, total leaf area, soil water potential, chlorophyll a+b concentrations, xylem water potential, proline, total N content, and Mg2+ ion concentrations, transpiration and stomatal aperture of Rhus chinensis var. roxburghii seedlings were the highest in inoculated ones grown in mixed media. The net height growth, net root collar diameter growth, biomass, leaf water content, total leaf area, chlorophyll a+b concentrations, xylem water potential, proline, total N content, P content, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ ion concentrations of plants, transpiration and stomatal aperture of Mallotus paniculatus seedlings were the highest in inoculated ones grown in mixed media. The net height growth, biomass, leaf water content, total leaf area, chlorophyll a+b concentrations, leaf water potential, xylem water potential, proline, total N content, P content, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ ion concentrations of plants, transpiration and stomatal aperture of Macaranga tanarius seedlings were the highest in inoculated ones grown in mixed media. The results of mycorrhizal structure study showed that A. scrobiculata could form arbuscular mycorrhizas with roots of Rhus chinensis var. roxburghii seedlings, and G. mosseae could form arbuscular mycorrhizas with roots of Mallotus paniculatus and Macaranga tanarius seedlings. There were significant enhancements in seedlings growth, biomass, drought tolerance and physiological characteristics. This study demonstrated that A. scrobiculata could stimulate the growth of Rhus chinensis var. roxburghii seedlings, and G. mosseae could stimulate the growth of Mallotus paniculatus and Macaranga tanarius seedlings, and would be applicable to the silvicultural practice of landslides restoration in Taiwan.
