| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 93 === According to the policy of “Statute For Encouraqing The Development Of Culture And Arts” implemented in 1992,public art has been emphasized in Penghu.Mang artworks could be seen in public spaces in Penghu. Penghu has many achievements in public art,but little research has been made to understand how the residents in Penghu view these projects of public art. For the reason,this study was designed to investigate the residents’ and experts’ opinions about public art in respect to its essential features,function, aspects of art and environment.
This study adopted questionnaire survey to get opinions and suggestions of the residents,and then interviewed some residents and experts to know in depth about their opinions and suggestions on future public art planning. The purpose of this study is as follows:
1. To investigate the opinions and suggestions of the residents toward public art in Penghu.
2. To investigate the differences of the residents on various background factors on public art in Penghu.
3. To investigate the opinions and suggestions of the experts toward public art in Penghu.
4. To provide guidelines for future public art planning in Penghu and future research.
The findings are as follows:
1.The opinions and suggestions of the residents toward public art in Penghu
1） About the effects of public art,most of the residents agreed to the effects of environmental beautification for public art in Penghu.
2） About the essential features of public art, the residents emphasized the local cultural cherecteristics toward public art in Penghu.
3） About the essential features of public art, the residents expect that public art has familiarity.
4） About the participant way,the residens suggested to adopt various ways.
5） The residents thought insufficient diversity on the aspect of art toward public art.
6） The residents expected to balance arrangement.
7） The residents expected that government can carefully plan and operate public art.
2.The differences of the residents on various background factors on public art in Penghu
1） The genders of residents did not result in explicitly differences on opinions toward public art in Penghu.
2） The ages of residents did not result in explicitly differences on opinions toward public art in Penghu.
3） The educational degree of residents did not result in explicitly differences on opinions toward public art in Penghu.
4） The residents living in different districts had great differences on the features and effects toward public art in Penghu,the aspect of art and total grades.The residents living in Makong satisfied with these aspects than the residents living in the country.
3.The opinions and suggestions of the experts toward public art in Penghu
1） The experts thought the requlations shoud recheck but the big problem was budget.
2） Although the artists have different ideas,they think mainly about the environment.
3） The experts thought public art in Penghu was trivial and similar.
4） The experts thought public art installion in the future can be various and adopt various ways to get works.
Finally,this study provided guidelines on future public art creating,selecting,participating,pushing,educating and future researches based on the results of the opinions from the residents and experts toward public art in Penghu.
