Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 93 === This research investigates, from a visual-art perspective, the subject of web page intros designed using Macromedia Flash, a net multimedia software.
It involves a visual-style analysis of the exhibitions of the 2003-2005 Flashforward & Flash Film Festivals to identify the structural components of the exhibitions' aesthetic form. The results are organized into a questionnaire to intros designers in an attempt to establish the more commonly recognized elements of aesthetic form, which are in turn used to formulate intro design practices through model verification and theme creation. The conclusions and suggestions derived from the research can serve as a usuful reference for Flash intro designers.
The research has utilized three methodologies for the investigation. The first one is Style Study, which is employed for the analysis of aesthetic form on the Film Festivals' exhibitions to provide the basis for questionnaire design. The second methodology is Questionnaire Investigation Method, which is used to collect and deduce information from those questionees who have the background of intro design on the important elements of the exhibitions' aesthetic form. The third methodology is Quality Thinking. While the employment of the important elements of aesthetic form is a necessity for the process of creating a Flash product, the elevation of creativity abd product quality is equally indispensable.
This thesis begins with a presentation of literature study in Chapter 2 summarizing the advances of new media web page art, the advantages of Flash web page intros, and the principles of aesthetic form. Chapter 3 discusses the establishing and grasping of the important elements of aesthetic form in theory and in practice, through a series of integrated efforts including style analysis of the Film Festivals exhibitions, questionnaire investigation, factor analysis, and testing of critical techniques. In Chapter 4, the proposed theory and the initial research results are applied to an intro
design for the theme of Genesis. The learning from this appliaction is then used to perfect the proposed theory and practices. Finally, Chapter 5 presents the conclusions and suggestions.
