A questionnaire was delivered to the local mathematics teachers, teaching Grades 1-5, and the results were concluded as follows: 1. The teaching implementation in mathematics area: (1) Most subjects agreed the ideas, goals, and contents of the Grade 1-9 curriculum guideline. (2) Most subjects taught mathematics following the ideas, goals, and contents of the Grade 1-9 curriculum guideline. (3) Most subjects used multi-evaluation to understand their students’ learning in mathematics. (4) Most subjects were satisfied with the textbooks they were currently using. However, most of them still adapted different versions as supplementary materials. (5) Most subjects agreed that the school authorities did not offer sufficient teaching support. 2. Teaching difficulties in mathematics area: (1) It was hard to fully understand the rationale and competency indicators of the curriculum guideline. (2) The solutions offered by the textbooks included too many details and the teaching aids were not enough. (3) The use of multi-evaluation increased the burden of both teachers and students. Furthermore, parents, in general, did not believe in the evaluation results. (4) The use of textbooks from different versions caused the problem of follow-up teaching contents and activities.
