碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 中國文學系碩士班 === 93 === Abstract This dissertation focuses on the “research of the concepts of Hsun-Jzu”. It is divided into six chapters. Introduction is the first chapters. It addresses the research motivation, score, and methodology. The generation of the theoretical value of Hsun-Jzu is classified in Chapter Two. Hsun-Jzu mentioned about the principle of the combination between inside and outside on the basis of “性偽合”. He also explained the generation of value in accordance with the combination between inside and outside. That is, the combination of natural of human beings, the cultivation and characteristics and the acquired characters, learning, self-learning, and propriety generates the concept of value. The standpoint of theoretical value of Hsun-Jzu is presented in Chapter Three. Hsun-Jzu deliberate the phenomenon of disorders of society at that moment and believe that the disorder is resulted from behavior bias of the lost of value and conflicts. Therefore, to eliminate the conflict of society, the only way is to learn good and honesty in mind and propriety and justice in behavior. Through the combination of mind and behavior to establish the value of propriety and justice standard is the way the eliminate the phenomenon of disorders of society and build an environment with justice and happiness. Chapter Four deals with the social responsibilities of intellectuals in accordance with Hsun-Jzu. Hsun-Jzu originate and develop the concept of “group” and the theory of 維齊非齊”to face the unequal treatment in life and intend to establish of coincidence and equality by propriety and justice. With the volition of man's determination will conquer nature of Hsun-Jzu, the responsibilities are naturally on intellectuals. Therefore, Hsun-Jzu emphasized that the intellectuals should pay attentions to the problems of society rater and self-centered problems. Chapter Five investigates the vision of human life of intellectuals in accordance with Hsun-Jzu. Hsun-Jzu believed that the propose of life is to keep learning to become good and honest which is deferent from the theory of benevolence completing virtue developed by Confucius and Mencius. He proposed a serious of propriety and justice standards to complete the self-accomplished as principle of life for intellectuals and as guideline of accomplishing ideal moral integrity. To complete the responsibilities and missions of life and to establish a cultural with propriety and justice are the ultimate visions. Chapter six is the conclusion. This chapter concludes the historical meaning and value of the concepts of Hsun-Jzu.
