This thesis discusses the poetry of Su-Shr --focusing on the interesting parts of his poetry during his time of expulsion. In the study, the formation, thinking foundation, content, presentation, and art performance are discussed with the expression of his feelings of bitterness in his heart, reflecting "Shr-chu"--the fun in poetry. The following is the analysis of the chapters of his fun and poetic life:
There are seven chapters in this thesis: The first chapter explicates his motivation, purpose, the current research about his poetry, research methods and steps. In Chapter Two, his life as a government official is discussed. His writing style varies with the ups and downs of his life as a government official . He presents the big events in his life in his seven-word poetry. In Chapter Three, the development and formation of theory is discussed. Through the interpretation of the former poets about the fun part of poetry, era background, and tradition of poetry and psalms, we can find out the origins of his fun part of his poetry and the development of his theory. Because of the influence on his moods and thoughts during his period of being expelled, the ways of the presentation of Shr-chu vary. Therefore, in Chapter Four, his moods and thoughts during his time of being expelled are discussed. Compared with others who were also expelled, Su-Shr was different form them in terms of his moods and thoughts because he worked on his poetry in his spare time. In Chapter Five, the analysis of "Shr-chu" is made. There are five elements in it: philosophy of life, fun, Zan, pleasure of life, uniqueness, nature, and rurality. In his poetry, we can easily find that even though expelled, Su-Shr still could enjoy his life with a flexible attitude. His optimism and wisdom toward life can be seen in his poetry. In Chapter Six, the artistic demonstration of his poetry during his expulsion period is discussed; they are the beauty of image, plainness, nature, and spirit. His poetry during this period is the result of the combination of writing technique and philosophy of life. The unity of fun and beauty is the characteristic of the inner beauty and esthetics of Su-Shr's poetry during that period. In Chapter Seven, is concluded that during the hardship of the time of being expelled, Su-Shr freed himself from the troubled situation by creating energy for life in his poetry. His passion for life and search for his dreams, which are successfully reflected in his poetry, can be a good example for the EQ management for our contemporaries.
