In this thesis, a wireless ARM-based microprocessor using Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) for real time power monitoring and load control system is presented. The system is designed based on a 32-bit ARM-based microprocessor to deal with power data processing and appliances control. By the system, users can monitor the power parameters and control the status at anywhere and anytime.
Our proposed system takes cell phone as the clients and the Boa server designed to the embedded system as the remote server which is connected to acquisition circuits to complete the integrated system. When clients make requests, the server will deal with them and send the related power parameter to the cell phone shown in the form of Wireless Makeup Language (WML). Therefore, client can monitor the status and control the appliances. Besides, system would send a warning text message automatically to the client via General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) making the system more safety and efficiently.
