This research studies and explores the meanings and effects of personality characteristics, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial ability, which are three variables representing entrepreneurial potential, on entrepreneur intention, with the following objectives of: (a) understanding selected college students’ personality characteristics, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ability, and entrepreneur intention (b) analyzing the relationship between personality characteristics, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ability and entrepreneur intention (c) exploring the linear structural relationship between personality characteristics, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ability, and entrepreneur intention (d) investigating the influence of the number of entrepreneurship courses taking on students’ personality characteristics, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ability, and entrepreneur intention. This research concludes with recommendations. The research framework is, based upon the linear structural relationship model, with the use of SPSS and AMOS, to analyze the correlation and cause-effect between variables. Data are collected by questionnaire to college students, categorizing into 3 classes: never taking any entrepreneurship courses, taking more than one, undertaking the first course. Findings of this research include: (a) among the three variables, “innovation” of entrepreneurship, “manageability” of entrepreneurial ability, and “the need to achieve” of personality characteristics are the most effective ones to influence entrepreneurial intention (b) “the need to achieve” of personality characteristics leverages entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ability, while “innovation” of entrepreneurship leverages entrepreneurial ability (c) cross examination of the variables reveals (i) of the interrelation between personality characteristics and entrepreneurship, “innovation” is the most effective factor predicting entrepreneurial intention (ii) of the interrelation between personality characteristics and entrepreneurial ability, and of the interrelation between entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ability, “manageability” is the most effective one predicting entrepreneurial intention (d) entrepreneurship leverages the most entrepreneurial intention, followed by entrepreneurial ability and personality characteristics (e) students undertaking entrepreneurship courses whose personality characteristics, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ability and entrepreneurial intention scores higher than those who do not.
