The success or failure of school administration depends on the reasonableness and practicality of decisions mading. The quality of administrative decisions not only affects the goal and operation of a school, but also has a deep influence on the overall school efficacy. This study was to explore the relationship between elementary school administrative decision and the school efficacy. The samples of this study were educational staffs from Changhua county elementary schools. Through literature review and theory discussion, the questionnaire entitled “ Administrative Decisions of Elementary School Staffs and School Efficacy ” was the tool of research. Furthermore, in-depth interview was used to collect more information on this research. The questionnaire was basically educational staffs of Changhua county elementary schools. Adopting the stratified random sampling, the sampling was 818 received 722 back, 699 valid returns (85%). The data were processed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression. The results of the study were listed as following: 1. The current status for elementary school administrative decisions was“excellent”and with most supported in “involvement in administrative decisions” 2. The current status for elementary school efficacy was“excellent”and with best situation in “communication and negotiation in administration”. 3. Males,over twenty-one years of service,principles or section chiefs,over fifty-one years old and postgraduates had a higher school administration decision awareness. 4. Males,over twenty-one years of service,principles or section chiefs,over fifty-one years old and postgraduates had a higher school efficacy awareness. 5. Principles with different genders, ages, qualifications, positions and the number of years of service had no obvious differences toward school administrative decision awareness. 6. Educational staffs with different school histories, sizes and regions had no obvious differences toward school administrative decision and school efficacy awareness. 7. These results provided positive relationship between elementary school administrative decisions and school efficacy. 8. School efficacy could be predicted from elementary school administrative decisions. According to the findings, the recommendations were made for future works, boards of education administration, operation of school administration and promotion of school efficacy.
