The survey was conducted in the form of questionnaires. The population was the senior managers in Taiwan’s manufacturing and service industries. Cluster random sampling was used in this study. The total number of 1,000 questionnaires were delivered to 250 companies. The usable returned questionnaires was 281, and its usable returned rate was 28.1%. The data were analyzed by t test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression, in order to test the study hypotheses. This study, based on the empirical research results, had the following findings: a. In terms of the consciousness of the mid- and high-level managers toward the leadership behavior and the crisis management of their general managers: significant differences were found among the companies’ types of industries, years of establishment, revenue, numbers of employees, size, the mid-and high-level managers’ genders, ages, education, positions, years of service, and devisions. b. Among all the aspects of the leadership behavior and the crisis management, passive management by exception and the laissez-faire approach were the only two variables that were negatively correlated with the crisis management. The rest of the variables were positively correlated. For instance, transformational leadership and transactional leadership as well as the aspects of leadership behavior, such as ideal characteristics, ideal behavior, encouragement, individual attention, intellectual stimulus, contingent reward, and active management by exception. c. The leadership behavior of the general managers can effectively predict their crisis management. Among all the aspects, transformational leadership and transactional leadership had positive effect while non-transactional leadership had negative effect. Keywords: lead、leadership behavior、crisis、 crisis management 梁滄郎 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 381 zh-TW
