The latter one employs statistical approach to calculate the scattered fields due to randomly positioned scatterers in the first Fresnel zone, which represent the vehicles, trees, lampposts, and motorcycles in the zone. The model is validated by comparing the computed result with the measured averaged path loss, shadowing and small scale fading at 900MHz and 1200MHz.
