Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 教練研究所 === 93 === The purpose of this study was to investigate: (1) the differences on body image, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction among university students with different demographic variables. (2) The relationship between body image and leisure constraints. (3) The canonical relationship among body image, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction. (4) The predictive utility of demographic variables, body image and leisure constraints on leisure satisfaction. One thousand, two hundred and nineteen university students in Taipei were recruited to participate in this study. Participants were asked to complete Body Image Questionnaire, Leisure Constraints Scale, and Leisure Satisfaction Scale. The results were as follows: 1. The results of one-way ANOVA indicated that: (1) there were differences on body image and leisure constraints between male and female. There was no difference on leisure satisfaction between male and female. (2) There were differences on body image, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction between two different frequencies of leisure participation. (3) There were differences on body image and intrapersonal constraints among four BMI groups. (4) There were differences on body image, leisure constraints, and leisure satisfaction among five different self-perceived health statuses. 2. The results of Pearson correlation indicated that a negative correlation was found between body image and leisure constraints among university students. 3. The results of canonical correlation indicated that body image and leisure constraints were significant factors related to leisure satisfaction. 4. The results of multiple regression analysis indicated that leisure satisfaction was positively predicted by gender, frequency of leisure participation, appearance orientation, and environmental constraints. Based on the findings of this study, suggestions for actual education settings and future directions were provided. Key words: Body image, Leisure constraints, Leisure satisfaction
