Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 機械工程學系碩博士班 === 93 === For a design task, the designers would tackle the design problem by decomposing the task requirements into a function structure. Based on the decomposed functions, the primitive design concepts to match the desired functions may then be generated. After synthesis, analysis and evaluation of the possible solutions, the most promising and feasible design layout will be chosen for determining its details. However, the step of conceptual design is more indefinite than other steps in the whole design process and is usually influenced by the subjective views and experience of the designer. To assist a designer to generate design concepts, under VB environment this study developed a computer-aided design system that employ function analysis and morphological chart method to accomplish function decomposition and concept synthesis. A database collects the design concepts that satisfy specific functions. The user then assigns weighting factor to each required function. An evaluation method uses TRIZ method together with the affiliated weighting factor to determine the priority of all possible design concepts. This priority order plays as the criterion for searching the solution among the design concepts that meet the functions. The user will then obtain a most favorite and feasible solution. Furthermore, the design information stored in the database with geometry and description can be exported as solid model between CAD systems. It will be helpful for the engineering activities to be followed such as design modification or detail design.
