Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 都市計劃學系碩博士班 === 93 === Recently, the appearance and the successful case of the industrial cluster are attraction many internal and overseas scholars to discuss. Because the concept of industrial cluster not only highlights the factor of geographic concentration, but include the scope of geography, the scale of industry, and the all kinds of behavior with competition and corporation intra-industry to understand the development advantage and the factor of success for the industries within the cluster. In Taiwan, we face to regional resource competition and the disproportional development, the concept and analysis approach of the industrial cluster may provide government an efficiency idea and method to help us to think over the relation between industries within cluster, distribution of limit resource, and draw the regional industrial policy.
This study tries to use the Taiwan’s up/down stream industrial data which compute by the industry linkage analysis of the input-output analysis, and then we combine the index of geographic concentration beyond to identify the appearance and interpret the intension of geographic concentration within cluster. The way to compute the index of geographic concentration includes: 1. Coefficient of Localization: use to describe the degree of identical between industrial economic variable and regional economic variable. 2. Location quotient: measure the degree of specialization to each regional industry. 3. HHI: to know the scale of regional industry. 4. a dart-broad approach: suggest by Ellison & Glaeser(1994), use individual firm location choice model, and then join local natural advantage and industry spillover these two parameters to compute the index of geographic concentration to discuss the appearance of industrial geographic concentration.
Sum up, the study would use those ways to understand the network within intra-industry up/down stream, to identify if the appearance of industrial geographic concentration exist, and how its distribution and intension; on the other hand, we can also understand the strength between industrial productive how to influence the industrial geographic concentration.
