Architecture creates a particular form of space through the relationships of materials in construction. A good architectural system is capable of producing a variety of change for space. It is doubtless to say that change is the only unchangeable facet of space. In this thesis, we explore a number of issues in architectural design, and intend to create an interface system which cannot only accommodate space change, but also preserve the common nature shared by materials in use. In addition, the construction of materials is non-destructive to materials themselves. An exercise model demonstrated in this thesis is a temporary, shed-like structure, including four sub-systems: support, enclosure, floor, and auxiliary systems. The objective of this thesis is to establish a dynamic, opening structure system which is highly flexible, non-destructive, and easy-to-assemble.
