In DEA evaluation, it is important to determine the inputs and outputs before running the DEA model. This study applies the experts’ judgment to get a set of input and output variables, and then uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methodology to produce the relative ranking of importance associated with each factor. Based on the guideline that the total number of inputs and outputs should be less than one half of the number of decision making unit (DMU) in the DEA model, this study sets the factors cost of sales and book value of tooling as inputs, and the factors sales, final yield, and satisfaction rate of customer as outputs to evaluate the aggregate efficiency, technical efficiency and scale efficiency within a group of Asian lead frame firms. This study applies slack analysis to further investigate the improvement target for the inefficient firms. Based on the DEA evaluation, this study concludes that each inefficient firm should focus on decreasing the book value of tooling and increasing the satisfaction rate of customer and the final yield for lead frame industry. This, in turn, can improve the efficiency of Asian lead frame firms. Min-Jiun Su 蘇明俊 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 134 zh-TW
