Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 資訊科學研究所 === 93 === As debris flow disaster have been the most significant hazards in Taiwan mountain areas, the Water and Soil Conservation Beareu of Taiwan, R.O.C. uses digital remote monitoring technology for monitoring possible debris flow events since 1999. Several CCTV monitoring stations have been established all over these monutain areas. As the number of stations increase largely, the traditional approach becomes more inefficient.
This research aims to reveal a more automated approach. Techniques including Edging,Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix, HSV color space, and time factors were used for analyzing the texture, color, and other characteristics. By comparing with the images that were recoreded when debris flows occurred and in regular days, we built a set of rules for identifying debris flow events. In our experimental results, the accuracy of identifying debris flow events is about 91%. In addition, our system is more sustainable because the storage requirement is very economic by keeping effective image only.
