Even if the language is different, it is possible to explain the same phenomenon by using the same viewpoints. In this paper, the Japanese vocabulary “iku” and “kuru” will be used to explain how language has it’s consistency in speaker and hearer’s recognition. The purpose of the study in educational aspect is to know the language’s formula in “iku” and “kuru” in order to prevent learner making mistakes on “iku” and “kuru”. This paper considers a modern language “iku” and “kuru” of Japan. And it is related to “iku” and “kuru” of the Japanese dialect and Japanese archaic word. In this paper author used “the collection of 10,000 leaves” as the research of Japanese archaic. The “Shuri dialect” and the “Nakijin dialect” were used for analyzing Japanese dialect. Except for the comparison of the Japanese language, other languages in the following are also compared. In Chinese the author used Chinese vocabularies “chiù” and “lái”. In English the author used English vocabularies “go” and “come”, In German, vocabularies “gehen” and “kommen” are used. In these tree languages, they are compared with Japanese. This paper showed clearly that, as for “iku”, and “kuru”, not only “a speaker''s place” but “a hearer''s place” exists like other languages. Yu-Huei Lin 林玉惠 學位論文 ; thesis 96
