And also research about whether the level of diversity will affect the relationships between TMT’s characteristics and performance, so divide it into two groups one is high level diversity and the other one is low level diversity.
The research data is according to 「The research of business groups in Taiwan in 2003」made by china credit information service. And include electrical industry and financial industry and traditional manufacturing industry.
The empirical results on the relationships between TMT’s characteristics and performance, indicate that age heterogeneity and education background heterogeneity are negatively associated with performance and family member ratio is negatively associated with performance. And the empirical result on the relationship between top management team’s characteristics and performance, indicate that age heterogeneity is positively associated with diversity. And the study also prove that high level diversity will slash the negatively associated between age heterogeneity and performance and low level diversity will slash the negatively associated between family member ratio and performance.
