Description
Summary:碩士 === 立德管理學院 === 科技管理研究所 === 93 === Radio frequency identification technology, known as RFID, has been described as“ tech’s official Next Big Thing.” RFID is not actually a new technology, but it is being applied in new ways, spurred by technological advances and decreased cost. Once used during World War II to identify friendly aircraft, RFID is now being using in a variety of public and private sector setting, from hosiyals to the highway. While RFID developments and diffusions may offer significant benefits for industry and consumers, some applications have raised privacy concerns, and these concerns must be addressed so that they do not hinder the development and diffusion of RFID in the marketplace. The main focus of the paper would be to find out what goes into developing a comprehensive trust-based RFID technology adoption model that balances market's values and customers’concerns regarding privacy. Customer trust is a vital part of protecting customer privact. Industry members, privacy advocates, and government should develop tools of which enhanced the trusts about RFID technology.
