Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 93 === It is difficult to forecast the customers’demand under the uncertain environment and the condition of short product life cycle. It is important for a manufacturing company to implement postponement strategy, because it usually can improve system performance. In this study, some of manufacturing companies with make-to-order production mode are survey and analyzed. An empirical study is implemented and the samplings are collected and analyzed by the methods of factor analysis and canonical correlation. The results of this study offer the findings of the relationships between the system performances and the factors of postponement decisions. From the results of the questionnaire analysis, the decision point of postponement is very important. Different decision points of postponement can result in different system costs. And it is always hoped that the total cost of the system is low to bring high profit. In the study, the cost of production system include inventory cost , setup cost , transportation cost , dealing cost and investment cost. Finally, some sensitive analysis are implemented the significant factors are production rate, unit inventory cost , and additional setup cost.
