Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 電子工程學系碩士班 === 93 === In recent years, the demand for portable radio communication has been increasing which requires low profile, light weight and small size antennas. Therefore, the size of the antenna is required to be as small as possible. In this thesis, we focused our studies on the printed slot antenna designs on alumina substrates and applications for wireless communications. We proposed slot antenna designs operating at the widely used bands of wireless communications, such as Bluetooth and HIPERLAN bands. In this thesis, the printed slot antenna was fed by the CPW. The simulator IE3D was adopted to simulate the specific of the antennas. Using this structure in the design, a promotion in bandwidth compared with the conventional rectangular microstrip antenna was obtained. Besides, reduction of dimensions was obtained. The Dual-band CPW-fed slot antenna, the low frequently impedance bandwidth reached about 11.36%. The high frequently impedance bandwidth obtained was about 18.77%. By adding a slot in tuning stub, the return loss was less than in - 1dB. In addition, frequency and bandwidth are all the same as designed ones. No matter how Dual-band CPW-fed slot antenna design or adding a slot in tuning stub, the frequency of the centre of its high , low frequency all exceeds the -25dB returned loss and were not more inferior at all than the antennas using FR4 to be designed.
