Currently many businesses adopt server-based structure for knowledge management. It categorizes different kinds of knowledge based on some criteria, and stores them together in different categories; just like the information index system in a library. It begins with designating priorities to different classification rules; as such, different people may come up with different classification results due to difference in perception or preference. This thesis uses clustering method, which is an algorithm in deriving phylogenetic trees, and Microsoft Visual Foxpro 6.0, with a relational database, to build a hierarchical knowledge management system – bottom up. This results in a tree structure, or knowledge map. We compares the difference between these two approaches. Meng-Fong Chen 陳孟峯 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 42 zh-TW
