In order to survive, enterprises have no choice but to change. In particular, they begin realizing the importance of information technology these years. Therefore, the trend of e-business has been emerging out of this. To improve the business character, enterprises want to develop the complete system software of strong functions to consolidate business structure, operational procedure and business resources. They want to integrate internal and external resources of business. When the planning system of business resources was presented to the public, it became a system base that has been installed by many global businesses. Most of enterprises that installed this system usually exceeded their budget or delayed. The introduction process of an ERP system into an enterprise is quite complicated and takes a lot of manpower, materials resources, time and money and so on. It is very important for business to be able to introduce the system successfully. On the other hand, there are also many failed examples. There are abundant and extensive materials about ERP. This study rearranged the documents collected. It focuses on the process of system introduction, including three stages—the preparation of introduction, arrangement of introduction procedure and follow-up procedure after introduction. We will reorganize cases in documents to demonstrate these three stages, whatever problems at these stages and strategies. By understanding the developing trend of ERP industry and market and analyzing whether those successful experiences of large-size enterprises to introduce ERP can be used by small businesses for reference, we expect to provide a consulting reference to the enterprises or those who want to study ERP. This research regarded China Motor Corporation, Universal Scientific Industrial Co., Ltd and Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation as the main research targets. Although this research employed the cases of different industries as supports, it generally combined the theories with the case studies. The analytical results of the case studies were as follows: (1) Three companies of case studies employed ERP system which was truly successful introduction and on-line operation. (2) China Motor Corporation, Universal Scientific Industrial Co., Ltd and Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation did not spend much time upon the formal on-line operation of ERP system. Thus, the introductory benefit of ERP system did not reveal completely. (3) As to the short-term effect, one could also recognize the substantial effect after the introduction of the system. (4) The characteristics of industries and the scale of the enterprises would certainly reveal difference upon the benefits obtained after the introduction of the system. (5) The concrete evaluation indicator which determined the successful introduction of ERP system could also function as the evaluation indicator of the establishment of other electronic information systems. (6) One could not alter the sequence of the introductory procedure of ERP system. Thus, when establishing any kinds of e-systems, one must follow the three phases of operational process. On the other hand, if the company can control the most frequent problems and the crucial factors of success of the three phases of introductory procedure of the system, the said enterprise will thus successfully introduce any kinds of e-systems established Chao-Yen Wu 吳昭彥 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 309 zh-TW |
